Jacobus-Loganville-Springfield Recreation Association Announces Halloween Party for Residents

SEVEN VALLEYS, PENNSYLVANIA (October 3, 2015) – The Jacobus-Loganville-Springfield (JLS) Recreation Association (JLS Rec) announced today that they will host a children’s Halloween Party on Saturday, October 24 beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the cafeteria of Loganville Springfield Elementary School (LSES) located at 169 North Main Street in Loganville for residents of Jacobus and Loganville Boroughs and Springfield Township.

Activities will include an animal presentation by One Acorn Nature Program from 9:00-10:30 a.m., followed by a costume parade with prizes, and culminating with Trunk or Treat in the LSES parking lot. JLS Rec is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing wholesome recreational activities that hearten the life-long social, fitness and fun opportunities for residents of Jacobus and Loganville Boroughs and Springfield Township. The mission of JLS Rec is to:

  • Grow a community dedicated to the well being of all that live in our municipalities.
  • Represent a positive atmosphere for volunteers as well as team players.
  • Provide positive learning experiences for the children of our community, promoting fundamental skills,
  • Teach good sportsmanship as well as team participation.
  • Looking forward, JLS Rec’s mission will be to continue uniting our communities in a positive direction for the good of all.

JLS Rec sponsors youth baseball, T-ball, softball and soccer for boys and girls, as well as providing a summer recreation program and special events (e.g., Halloween Party, bus trips, etc.). JLS Rec is managed by a six member, volunteer board to promote and develop recreation for all ages. Each municipality appoints two residents who serve a two year term. JLS Rec is always looking for representatives and volunteers to help with events throughout the year.
